What is EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a unique therapy that helps people heal from present symptoms and emotional distress that are the direct result of negative life experiences.
Contributing to successful healing is the use of bilateral stimulation (both sides of the brain are stimulated, typically through eye movement, taps or sound), while the client is re-exploring the trauma (contextually speaking) in the safe environment of the therapist’s office (dual-awareness).
What are the benefits of EMDR therapy?
One of the unusual and often desirable features of this therapy is that details of the disturbing memory do not need to be discussed in order for the brain to heal.
Effective sessions of EMDR will leave you with positive emotions, understanding, and perspectives that should guide you to more beneficial and healthy behaviors and interactions.
EMDR therapy is growing in popularity due to its client success, in just half the time of traditional talk therapy.
Research shows that just as the body is made to heal itself, so is the brain.
SHOULD I CONSIDER EMDR?

- depression
